Controlling CPU Temperature With TTHROTTLE!?

Controlling CPU Temperature With TTHROTTLE!?

I've just installed GridRepublic after using BOINC for a couple of weeks and tthrottle is telling me that my CPUs are running a bit hot for my liking when GridRepublic is active... About 75 Celcius. I've set core temperature to 65 Celcius max but GridRepublic seems just to ignore the request.

Is tthrottle the right program to use? Does anyone know how I can limit GridRepublic to be restricted by CPU temperature?!

The the most consistant method to control cpu temperature is to just limit the %cpu used.

If you go to the preferences page you can set a cap on CPU % used which will lower the load on your computer and lower the temperatures it would likly reach as a result of participating.
