World Community Grid - even with matching user names, unable to manage it

I have matching usernames, and email address (though I did change the world community grid email after the initial sign-up)

I can manage (and see stats) for seti & rosetta, but do neither for world community grid

{1} unfortunately, WCG does not support the web management features, except for "add project" and "remove project".  (if you want to revise your WCG resource share, see this workaround.)  so for the moment, this is unfortunately expected behavior.

{2} if your username at GR and WCG match -- and if your have never changed your GR username -- i'm not sure why your stats are working, however.  i wonder: how long have you been a WCG member?

1) Thanks, the workaround for weight was what I was looking for

2) I joined GR early Jan, iirc (but my mind is like a steel trap - rusty, dangerous, and illegal in many states).  I did peruse the discussions on the issue and see there were similar problems; but they seem to be cleared up for most now ... just not me (I rarely seem to have *easy* issues).

I did change email addresses on GR and the projects themselves - in order to tie everything together at GR...  I'm not sure if I wound up changing the username at GR or not ...

Ok, probably you did change your "name", and this messed up your WCG account (this happens in certain circumstances).  so we'll remove WCG from your GR account; either tristan or i will post back here when it's removed.

...after it's removed, you'll be able to re-add the proejct; and then your old WCG credits should show here in GR.  (just be sure, before you re-add, that your GR name matches the name from your WCG account.)

Ok, I've removed WCG from your account. You should be able to log in to GridRepublic and add it again using the appropriate WCG name and password.

See if that does it.

cavein, just an fyi -- i think you might be using an invalid email address for your GR account.  and so i think system-generated mails (like change-password messages and forum activity notifications) are not being delivered...

I can not see any credit from my world community grid account, even though I have the same email, name, and password on both sites. GridRepublic seems to have created a new account with exactly the same parameters, however I can't enter into this new account in the WCG site.

Joao, could you tell me what user name you use to log in to World Community Grid and what stats it is showing? I queried the WCG server using the information we have for you at GridRepublic and it is claiming 0 credits. WCG requires that user names be unique, so it shouldn't be possible to have two different accounts with the same name.

It does seem to be a new account, though. WCG says it was created on Tue, 14 Jul 2009 03:13:08 GMT, which is immediately after your GridRepublic account was created.

Dear Tristan, I think I have exactly the same username and password (username Joao Madureira), but the old account was created in 22-03-2009 16:07:07 and has                      5c750474f9b16e0fa746197afe93c288. Many thanks, João

I'm not sure why, but your account for WCG at GR has your name as "joapasd". Should I remove this account entirely from GR? Then you can add WCG again and hopefully import using the name on your account.

yes please, that would be great, thanks

Done, you should be able to add WCG again and give it the name and password for the good account.

I'm having the exact same issue. Nothing I do allows WCG to be added to my GR account.

Any help is much appreciated.

Nevermind, the link was for some reason taking me to SETI@Home, so I just sorted differently and it worked.
