Found the problem which was 'Name' not same, I had 2 profiles on WCG. One empty and one with work done.We used my real name whenwe installed GR and not a 'user name'

So now I have found my WCG profile with points and a computer, but can't seem to delete the useless one. Nevermind I think they like to keep them and it makes the stats look better.

My WCG now shows 14,791total points butGR shows 2,113 ?? Is your points system the same as WCG's ??

I still get the can't communicate with WCG and get the error message but I'm not so bothered about that as it was to ask for newsletter and show commputer.

Thanks for looking but think I'm mostly 'cooking on gas' again.

Hi all,

I don't seem to be able to communicate with WCG. I have points showing on GR but none on WCG, also I don't seem to have a computer registered with either GR or WCG ? A friend installed it all, who has been using BOINC for years and he is stumped. What has he done wrong or missed ? I have been with you for a month and have made 2113.16 points.

When I ask GR to tell WCG to show my computer I get the message:

"We have encountered an error communicating with your project. Your changes have not been applied. Projects do become unavailable from time to time. You can try again via the button below, and/or return to make your changes later."

My email and password are the same on both.

Appreciate any help.
