I've been running GR for a while now. I don't have it setup to have screen saver or anything like that.
Recently (not sure when it started) when I RDP into my server, there are about 4-5 mirosetta windows sitting there with graphics, etc. Which makes RDP slightly unhappy. I close them, and they come right back.
If I kill GR, they go away.
This has never happened in the past. Normally GR sits in the tray and happily chews on the data. However these extra windows are annoying and not needed.
However I can't seem to find a setting that may have gotten flipped on to show the windows....
I did. I have everything stored in Keepass to be sure.
But I checked with each project and they see the new computer spec and it happily crunching away. Just GridRepublic sees the server as my old hardware. I can't tell if Gridrepublic is seeing my new data that I've turned in or not.
So I have a server that I've named Corellia, it's motherboard was failing so I upgraded the server to new hardware. But kept the same name for the server so as not to have to touch all desktops for the shares, etc.
Grid Republic was reinstalled and happily running. However the web site shows the Corellia computer as my old hardware and not the spiffy new i7.
Should I just give this some time, or is something not going right? Is this something I need to log on to Rosetta and SETI to change?
I'm on Ubuntu 8.04 x86_64 running Boinc command line. Participating in both SETI and Roseta.
Both are working fine. but then I stumbled on the acct manager thing.
So I created my account here at Grid Republic with same email I use for the projects. When I added those projects here it saw the emal exisited and asked for my password which I gave and seemed to attach them fine.
I then went to my linux box and entered the following:
