Hi, I connected my 10 servers (doing BOINC) to gridrepublic.com... I saw stats originally seemingly being transferred so I can see the lastest using gridrepublic, but over the last few days, none of my stats that are still going up on BOINC, are being shown in gridrepublic.
Any ideas?
Hi,
Yes the emails are the same for BOINC and GR.
I got an update on my stats...it is NOT real-time or even daily. I seem to get updated stats that sort of match what BOINC reports, every other day.
How often does GR update against the BOINC databases?
Thanks,Bob
Also, what is the difference between a "point" in GridRepublic... and a "credit" in BOINC ?
I have almost 20 machines running now. One machine in particular shows up as having 6001 "credits" on BOINC, but 70,000 "points" on GridRepublic.
I don't get the difference between "credits" and "points" ??
thanks.
Well the fact that you say there could be up to a 48 hour lag, may explain it....
Thank you,
bob
the stats you see upon login at GR in your home/status page should be identical to the stats you see upon direct login to a project server.
the 48 hour lag pertains to the charts (and data in the facebook application) only. and of couse this lag would result in smaller values not larger ones.
I added six more boxes to my "server farm". They all have been running BOINC (SETI/EINSTEIN) for two days now. The new servers show up in my "Server List", but they are all reporting zero still. All my other existing servers also are reporting old data from two days ago.
I know that in another day, GR will show more up-to-date data, but it is never accurate for me anyway.
In GR on this page: http://www.gridrepublic.com/index.php, click on the "My Computers" tab. There is a list of my computers. Six of them are reporting "0". They should not be reporting "0"
As a comparison, if I go onto the BOINC agent, click on one of my two projects (SETI, or Einstein), then click on the "Your Computers" button...
For those six hosts in particular, SETI will show some values, Einstein is "0".
It looks like GR is displaying results for SETI and not Einstein as well (combined).
I need to edit my last post.
There doesn't seem to be any SETI/Einstein correlation. I have six hosts that are ARE posting data to BOINC, but NOT to GR. The six hosts show "0" on GR,yet have real data on BOINC.
This gent, Michael Nash, is having the same problem I am having :

Also, is there a way to move this whole message thread to the "Help" forum where it belongs.
i think michael's issue is prob different, as i note there. so let's deal with your issue here.
first, let's put aside for the moment the issue of stats as reported in your desktop app. as a first step, let's see if stats as reported in GR match the stats as reported at the project websites.
so, please login to the GR website and check your stats; and then please login simulatenously to the SETI and Einstein sites; and let's see if these match.
Under the section called "Computing and Credit"
1) SETI shows: "Total credit 163,626"
2) Einstein shows: "Total credit 30,493"
3) Add them up: 194119
4) GR shows: "Total points: 172339.40"
3 and 4 do not match
But really wierd, on each of the project pages for SETI and Einstein there is a small section at the bottom called: "Projects in which you are participating"
If you add the "Total credit" column 154389+29601 you get 183990. This value also does NOT match the value that GR is showing which is 172339.40
This is all very confusing... though it may just be me. By the way, I'm a QA guy.... Bob
By way of background, projects have two sets of stats, as you have noticed. there is your official tally of validated credits which you see in you #1 and #2 above. and then projects export, once per day, all their stats for use by the various boinc statistics sites, and for use in the the cross-project "Projects in which you are participating" pages, and for other reasons. because the exports happen only once per day, stats derived from them necessarily lag the "real" stats.
so: our concern is why GR does not match your #1-3 above. (we do not use the stats exports. we get your data from the projects when you login. so it's puzzling that the values do not match.
first of all, can you tell me,
