Help Us Test

As we develop new features, we need users to help us work out the bugs. If you're organized, patient, and interested, email us at developers{}gridrepublic.org . Currently, we seek testers for the following:

Developers

GridRepublic is built using BOINC. We are constantly in need of people with strong skills in PHP, SQL, and in particular with XML RPCs. Familiarity with BOINC is useful but not always necessary.

Other specific areas where we have ongoing need for help are: Flash, Joomla/Mambo, MediaWiki, SMF Forums, Facebook and OpenSocial APIs.

If interested, please email us at developers{}gridrepublic.org

Designers

We are constantly in need of skilled designers to develop new user interfaces and collateral materials. If interested, please email us at developers{}gridrepublic.org

Science Writers/Journalists

We are looking for talented writers who can help to explain the projects and associated science in more detail -- people who can take technically complicated material and explain it in clear an simple language. For examples, see the Project Summary pages and the more detailed project Articles, like this one. (FYI, article guidelines are posted here.) If interested, please email us at developers[]gridrepublic.org

Technical Writers

We seek help both with user documentation and with code documentation. If interested, please email us at developers{}gridrepublic.org

Open Source

BOINC and the APIs which are the basis of GridRepublic are open source and part of the BOINC source code. (The GridRepublic identity and website code are not at present open source, but we are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; this is a philanthropic endeavor, not a commercial enterprise.)
